The Grass
Monkeys plans to enter a cricket team into the 2002 Pine Side Cup look set
to take place. The Grass Monkeys have officially approached Mr Mathew Klemke
requesting that he allows the Grass Monkeys Sports Club to enter in an

take place in October.
HISTORY
The Grass
Monkeys were originally set up the year 2000. Although back then they were
known as the Munchers. These were terrible times, the munchers were CRAP!,
loosing every match of night tennis that they played and only ever gaining
points when the opposition forfeited. A total of two sets were won for the
entire season. In 2001 They changed the name to Grass Monkeys and have never
looked back, winning their first ever match, and look have found themselves
off the bottom of the ladder for the first time.
Currently the Grass Monkeys only participate in tennis
and woolshed cricket competitively but are trying to expand into as
many sports as possible. This is going to a difficult task considering that
they are isolated in Henty (look on the bright side, we aren't situated in
Culcairn, Holbrook, Walla, Gerogery or Pleasant Hills), but with the Grass
Monkey spirit Rippin' It Up!, we should go a long way.
We have entered the club into numerous fantasy sports competitions for the
up and coming year. We have entered a team in the AFL's fantasy football
competition that has been very successful. Our team is currently placed
second in our league. We also have also entered a fantasy cricket team for
this years county cricket season.
