The Grass Monkeys kicked of the Henty night tennis season with an epic victory over The Inflatable Cows, in last Thursdays opening match for both teams. The Grass Monkeys short on players emphatically overpowered the opposition in an awesome display by James Dittko, Justin Stroh, Damien Maloney, Taryn Morey, and Emma and Laura Klemke. The latter three played with duress all night and were the key to victory.
Irish sports journalist Paddy O'Furniture as "the Grass Monkeys greatest ever victory". O'Furnature described the atmosphere in the shed at the end of the night as "amazing", saying that the Grass Monkeys "celebrated as though John Howard was assassinated, I've never seen such joy" he stated in his article on page 118 of Fridays edition of the Dublin Post.
